REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING OF
NOVEMBER 21, 1983.

SUBJECT: REPORT WITH RESPECT TO AMENDING TOWN OF NEWCASTLE BY-LAW
79-144 (REFRESHMENT VEHICLE BY-LAW)
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. That this report be received; and
2. That the report recommending the amending of Town of Newcastle By-law
79-144, be adopted; and
3. That the amending by-law be forwarded to Council for approval .
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
By-law Number 79-144 of the Town of Newcastle, licences, regulates and
governs vehicles from which refreshments are sold. Section 2 of By-law
79-144 provides, that applicants are required to complete and submit an
application for such licence and identifies the application form to be
used as Schedule "A" to By-law 79-144.
As part of the on-going review of the municipality's licensing activities,
By-law 79-144 has been reviewed and the application form revised. A copy
of the revised application form is attached and if the Committee concurs
with the new form, it is the Department's recommendation that the Committee
forward the attached amending By-law which will give effect to the revision
to Council , for approval .

THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
BY-LAW 83- 157
being a by-law to amend By-law 79-144 entitled
"a by-law for licensing, regulating and governing
vehicles from which refreshments are sold."
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle, deems
it adviseable to amend By-law 79-144;
NOW THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Schedule "A" to By-law 79-144 is hereby amended by deleting the
said Schedule "A" therefrom and substituting the revised Schedule "A"
therefore.
2. That this by-law shall come into force and take effect on the day
of the enactment.
By-law read a first time this 28th day of November 1983.
By-law read a second time this 28th day of November 1983.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this28th day of November 1983.
