REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE & ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING OF
JUNE 20TH 1983.

SUBJECT: COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE RE-ENACTMENT OF THE 1858
COUNCIL MEETING ON MAY 24TH 1983.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. That this report be received for information.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
Council at a meeting held on May 16th 1983, reviewed the three option proposals
with respect to the 1858 Council Meeting Re-Enactment. It was determined, that
option two be implemented, that the number of persons be increased to 200 plus
and that a budget allocation be provided in the amount of $2,000.00.
I would advise, that approximately two hundred and fifty (250) persons attended
the re-enactment and the reception.
Costs associated with the evening totalled $1 ,442.83. The accounts associated
with the re-enactment have been paid and charged to the Receptions and Tributes
Account No. 7007-235-X-5. A list of the accounts is appended for your
information.
