RECOMMENDATION:
1. THAT this report be received, and
2. THAT Council authorize the issuing of a
Refreshment Vehicle Licence to the applicant:

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
Mr. Don Whalen submitted an application for a Refreshment Vehicle Licence on
May 27th, 1983. The applicant also submitted a letter from the Durham Regional
Health Unit dated May 26th, 1983, which indicated that the Regional Health Unit
has no objection to the issuing of a refreshment vehicle licence.
The Newcastle Fire Department, by letter dated May 26th, 1983 advised that the
propane appliances and equipment installation meet their requirements.
Mr. Whalen has received permission from Foodworths Variety to locate his refreshment
vehicle on their property located at R.R.#6, Bowmanville, in the Town of Newcastle.
This Department would recommend the application to Committee for their consideration
and approval .
