REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE & ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING OF
JUNE 6, 1983.

SUBJECT: REQUEST BY MR. & MRS. N. N. COLLIS, 67 MILL STREET,
PICKERING VILLAGE, L1V 2M5, TO OCCUPY A MOBILE HOME
DURING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW RESIDENTIAL DWELLING.
RECOMMENDATIONS:

1. That this report be received; and
2. That the application be approved; and
3. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute the standard agreement
with the applicants, authorizing the use of a mobile home as a temporary
residence on site, for a period not exceeding six months.
BACKGROUND & COMMENT:
Mr. and Mrs. N. N. Collis , 67 Mill Street, Pickering Village, have by letter
dated May 24th 1983, requested that Council give consideration to, and grant
permission to them to locate a mobile home onto the construction site, for
use as a temporary residence. Mr. and Mrs. Collis have made a firm offer to
purchase a building lot on the west side, Part of Lot 19, Concession 3, former
Township of Darlington, and they are attempting to have all of the preliminary
approvals completed by the closing date of July 8th 1983, so that construction
can commence immediately thereafter.
The Planning Department has indicated, that they have no objection to the
approval of the application, subject to the applicants complying with all of
the Town's requirements with respect to building permits and zoning clearances
and a clear understanding that the approval is for a six month period.

If approved, the agreement will not be executed by the Town until the
applicants are in possession of a deed to the property: that is, on, or about
July 11th 1983.

Dear Sir:
We the undersigned, wish to apply for permission to place, for a temporary
length of time, a house trailer on the above mentioned lot, for the purpose
of accommodation while the construction of a permanent residence is brought
to a stage satisfactory to the council by-laws for living in.
The deed to the property will be submitted on closing date July 8, 1983.
