SUBJECT: BY-LAW TO REDEFINE THE LANDS DESIGNATED AS
SOLINA ATHLETIC FIELD
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1 . That this report be received.
2. That the attached by-law be forwarded to Council for approval .
3. That, when the by-law has been approved by Council , a copy be
forwarded to the Ministery of Tourism and Recreation, the
Honourable Reuben C. Baetz.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
On October 5th, 1981 , Council passed by-law 81 -151 , establishing a
Community Recreation Centre at Solina and providing for the establishment
of a Community Centre Board to manage and control the property, known
as the Solina Athletic Field, now described as parts 1 , 2 and 3 of
Plan 1OR 1522,
On September 30th, 1982, the property described as Parts 2 and 3 of Plan
1OR 1523 was registered in the name of the Town. This property was
acquired for the purposes of a new park in Solina.

It is now appropriate for Council to pass a new by-law giving
the Solina Park Board control and management over the total park
holdings until such time as the Town has disposed of the former
parkland.
