SUBJECT: SEPARATE SCHOOL DETERMINATION 1982 MUNICIPAL ELECTION RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. That this report be received for information. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: Pursuant to Section 110 of The Education Act, S.O. 1974, a determination has been made with respect to the distribution of Trustees for the combined Separate School Zone of the Peterborough, Victoria, Northumberland and Newcastle Roman Catholic Separate School Board. As required by Section 110 (12) of the Act, the Clerks of the four County municipalities having successively the greatest equalized residential and farm assessment for separate school purposes in the zone, met in Newcastle on August 26th 1982, and confirmed the determination. TO ALL CLERKS OF THE MUNICIPALITIES WITHIN THE COMBINED SEPARATE SCHOOL ZONE OF THE PETERBOROUGH-VICTORIA-NORTHUMBERLAND AND NEWCASTLE ROMAN CATHOLIC SEPARATE SCHOOL BOARD: Re: Determination for 1983-1985 Our File: 10.50.5. A determination has been made pursuant to The Education Act S.O. 1974, Chapter 109, Section 110 and there is no change in the allocation of Trustees. The number of Trustees remains at five Trustees (5) for the one City and eleven Trustees (11) for the County Municipalities in the Zone. A further determination was made on August 26, 1982, pursuant to Section 110 (8) by four of the County Municipalities having successively the greatest equalized residential and farm assessment for Separate School purposes in the zone, ' (D. W. Oakes, Town of Newcastle, W. B. Bates, Town of Lindsay, B. W. Baxter, Town of Cobourg, and C. Sullivan, Township of Douro) . The determination report is enclosed and indicates the municipalities to be represented by each Trustee. Section 110 (21) provides for the nomination and election procedure governing Separate School Trustees. The Clerks of the following municipalities should review their responsibilities for the combined areas : Township of Hamilton Township of Ennismore Town of Murray Township of Douro Township of Otonabee Township of Emily Should you require further information, do not hesitate to contact me.
