REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING OF
JUNE 28TH 1982.

SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF TILE DRAINAGE LOAN APPLICATIONS:
1. John and Hilda Boekee y
R. R. #1, Orono
2. Ceresmore Farms Limited
R. R. #4, Bowmanville
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. That this report be received; and
2. That the Tile Drainage Loan Application submitted by John and
Hilda Boekee on October 21st 1981, in the amount of $18,000.00
be approved; and
3. That the Tile Drainage Loan Application submitted by Ceresmore
Farms Limited on January 12th 1982, in the amount of $9,572.69
be approved; and
4. That the amount of funds allocated for payment to each applicant
be limited to 60% of the final cost of the works constructed in
accordance with the direction of the Ministry of Agriculture and
Food; and
5. That the applications be processed when Provincial funds become
available; and
6. That the applicants be so advised.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
When the applications were submitted, each of them was advised that no funds
were available and in all probability Provincial funds for tile drainage

purposes would not be available until 1982 a.t the earliest,
Both Boekee and Ceresmore Farms Ltd. , have installed the works detailed
in their applications. The subject works have been inspected by the Public
Works Department and meet the Town's requirements. They have recommended
that the applications be approved.
For the Committee's information, funds are available in the Town's 1982
Tile Drainage Allocation and if the applications are approved, they can be
debentured this year.
