RE: Mobile Preparation Premises
Dear Mr. Lawrence:
This letter will confirm my inspection of the above premise on June 7,
1982. In this regard, the following comments are made:
1. The refrigerator must be equipped with an accurate indicating thermometer,
positioned in an easily readable location.
2. The handwashing basin must be equipped with soap and ..paper towels, in a
dispenser.
3. The hot and cold water must be piped into a faucet (located over the sinks) .
4. Additional screening should be provided for the roof vents and the door
between the preparation area and drivers compartment, otherwise any un-
screened openings must be kept closed.
Based on your assurance that requirements #1 and #2 will be completed with-
in seven (7) days, and that requirements #3 and #4 will be completed prior to
operations in 1983, this Department would have no objections to the licensing
of the vehicle.
Yours truly,
R. Malanczyj, B.E.S., C.P.H.I. (c)

MEMORANDUM
TO: D.W. Oakes, A.M.C.T. , Town Clerk
FROM: J. Kirkland, By-law Enforcement Officer
DATE: June 10, 1982
SUBJECT: Refreshment Vehicle Licence - Terry Lawrence
As per condition of application for a Refreshment Vehicle Licence, on June 10,
1982, I checked the area where Mr. Lawrence will be operating his Refreshment
Vehicle, Lot 35, Concession 2, south side of King Street East in the Town of
Newcastle.
The property contains burned ruins which were once the Bowling Alley located
at Townline Road and Highway #2 area.
I found the area to have ample parking and there does not appear to be any
danger to traffic manoeuvring on and off Highway #2 to the Refreshment Vehicle.
