SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR PERMISSION TO USE A MOBILE HOME AS A
TEMPORARY RESIDENCE DURING THE PERIOD OF CONSTRUCTION OF
A NEW RESIDENCE
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. That this report be received;
2. That the application be approved;
3. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute the standard
agreement with the applicant to permit the use of a mobile home
as a temporary residence during the period of construction, not
exceeding six months.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
Mr. John Bandstra has obtained a demolition permit from the Town and will
be undertaking the demolition of the existing residence soon. In order to
have the project completed in the shortest time, Mr. Bandstra is now
requesting that Council permit him to move a mobile home onto the site, and
use it as a temporary residence during the period of demolition of the old
structure and the construction of the new home.
Mr. Howard Wight, Chief Building Official has advised, that Mr. Bandstra' s
application for a demolition permit was approved; that the building plans
for the new home are currently under review and that the application will
meet all of the Town's zoning and building requirements.

The practice has been for Council to consider this type of application , and
if approved, pass a resolution authorizing the execution of the agreement
by the Mayor and Clerk.
