SUBJECT:
REQUEST FOR FUNDING FROM ELDAD CHURCH
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. That report TR-96-87 be received; and
2. That the request from Eldad Church for funding in the amount of
$6,500.00 in 1987 be approved; and
3. That these funds be transferred from the Contingency Account to
the Municipal Grants Policy Reserve Account for future drawdown;
and
4. That Mrs. Pat Best, be advised of Council's actions.
BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:
At the Council meeting of September 28, 1987, Resolution #C-778-87 was
approved. Said Resolution was further amended by Resolution #C-779-87
which directed that "the items requiring funding be referred to the
Treasurer for review and a report to the General Purpose and
Administration committee on the possibility of their being financed in
1987."

Staff have reviewed this matter, and, would recommend that the required
monies of approximately $6,500 be transferred from the contingency
account to the municipal grants reserve account in 1987. This would
allow the Board of Stewarts of Eldad Church, Solina, to meet their costs
incurred to date and to complete expansion of the cemetery in 1988.
