SUB,ECT: TENDER T87-6, ONE (1) ONLY FRONT MOUNT RIDING MOWER
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration
Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. That this report be received; and
2. That Utica Farm Equipment Limited, Port Perry, Ontario, with a total
bid of $11,982.93 being the lowest responsible bidder meeting all
terms, conditions and specifications of Tender T87-6, be awarded the
contract to supply and deliver one (1) only Front Mount Riding Mower
and one (1) only 72" Floating Cutting Unit, to the Town of Newcastle
as required by the Department of Community Services; and
3. That the funds be drawn from the approved 1987 Community Services
Capital budget.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
Tenders were publicly advertised and invited for the supply and delivery of one
(1) only Front Mount Riding Mower and one (1) only 72" Floating Cutting Unit, as
required by the Department of Community Services.

Tenders were received and tabulated as per Schedule "A" attached.
The required funds will be drawn from the approved 1987 Community Services
Capital budget and are well within the $18,500.00 budgeted.
After_ review and analysis of the bids by Purchasing and Community Services, it
was mutually agreed that the low bid from Utica Farm Equipment Limited, Port
Perry, Ontario, be recommended for the Tender award.
