SIRJECT: TENDER NO. T87-7, WINDOW VAN
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration
Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. That this report be received; and
2. That Roy Nichols Motors Limited, Bowmanville, Ontario, with a total
bid of $14,598.58, being the lowest responsible bidder meeting all
terms, conditions and specifications of Tender T87-7, be awarded the
contract, to supply and deliver one (1) only 1987 Five Passenger, 1/2
Ton Window Van, as required by the Public Works Department; and
3. That the funds be drawn from the approved Public Works Equipment
Reserve #2900-00010-0000.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
A tender was publicly advertised and invited for the supply and delivery of one
(1) only 1987 Five Passenger, 1/2 Ton Window Van, as required by the Public
Works Department.

The required funds of $14,598.58 will be drawn from the approve Public Works
Equipment Reserve Account #29910-00010-91000. This amount is well within the
$16,000.00 provided for in the 1987 Capital Budget.
After review and analysis of the bids by both Purchasing and Public Works, it
was mutually agreed that the low bid from Roy Nichols Motors Limited,
Bowmanville, Ontario, be recommended for the tender award.
