ORONO TOWN HALL ROOF REPAIRS
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended to Council the following:
1 . That report TR-85-86 be received; and
2. That Provincial Industrial Roofing and Sheet Metal Company Ltd.
Concord, Ontario be awarded the contract to replace the existing
shingle roof, install ceiling insulation, vapour barrier and
exhaust vents to the Orono Town Hall ; and
3. That the required funds be drawn from the Building Energy
Conservation Fund and the General Capital Reserve Fund.
BACKGROUND & COMMENT:
Tender specifications were provided by Warnock Hersey Professional Services Ltd.,
for the roof repairs of the Orono Town Hall . Subsequently, tenders were
advertised in all four local papers.

Bids were received and tabulated as follows:
Bidder: Bid Amount
Provincial Industrial Roofing $ 31 ,324.00
and Sheet Metal Co. Ltd.
Concord, Ontario
Bar-Lei Company Ltd. $ 33,824.00
Downsview, Ontario
The required funds will be drawn from the Building Energy Conservation Fund and the
General Capital Reserve Fund as directed by Council Resolution #C739-86. The total
bid price $31 ,324.00 is well within the budget amount of $37,150.00.
After review and analysis of the bids by Purchasing, Community Services, and Warnock
Hersey Professional Services ltd. , it was mutually agreed that the low bidder,
Provincial Industrial Roofing and Sheet Metal Co. Ltd., Concord, Ontario be
recommended for the contract award for the roof repairs of the Orono Town Hall . The
subject firm is highly recommended by Warnock Hersey Professional Services Ltd.
