SUB.ECT: TENDER NO. T86-23, WOOD CHIPPER
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1 . That this report be received; and
2. That Canadian Morbark Limited, North Bay, Ontario, with a total
bid of $22,612.61 , being the lowest responsible bidder meeting
all terms, conditions and specifications of Tender No. T86-23,
be awarded the contract to supply one (1 ) only Wood Chipper
16" drum, as required by the Town of Newcastle; and
3. That the funds be drawn from the Public Works Equipment Reserve.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
A tender was publicly advertised and invited for the supply of one ( 1 ) only Wood Chipper
16" drum, as required by the Department of Public Works.
Bids were received and tabulated as follows:

Allen Fyfe Equipment Limited $25,145.00

The required funds will be drawn from the Public Works Equipment Reserve from which
there are adequate funds available.
After review and analysis of the bids by Purchasing and Public Works, it was mutually
agreed that the low bid from Canadian Morbark Limited, North Bay, Ontario, be recommended
for the Tender award.
