Q86-18, PAINT EXTERIOR - DARLINGTON SPORTS CENTRE Indu-Kote Systems $21 ,200.00 Markham, Ontario Kodiak Contracting $31 ,480.00 Oshawa, Ontario The quotations were reviewed and it was revealed that the low bidder did not have any experience with contracts of this size or type. It was the bidder's intention to try and do all the painting himself, and if he found it to be too large of a job, he would then hire sub-contractors. The second low bidder, D.W. Ashton Building Services, Oshawa, Ontario, does have the necessary experience and would use at least four (4) men on the job. The following references have been provided and verified : Durham Board of Education Carewell North York Nursing Home Hallmark, Toronto After review and analysis of the bids by Purchasing and Community Services, and as the low bidder does not have relevant experience, it was mutually agreed that the bid from D.W. Ashton Building Services, Oshawa, Ontario, be recommended for the quotation award. Respectfully submitted, Ali U J.R. Blanchard, Treasurer. s J. Devantier, R.D.M.R. , Director of Community Services. /hjm f,, ,° 1i
