SLB ECT: QUOTATION NO. Q86-7, VEHICLE QUOTATION - CARGO VAN (COMMUNITY SERVICES)
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following :
1 . That this report be received; and
2. That Cowan Pontiac Buick Ltd. , Bowmanville, Ontario, with a total
bid of $13,220.92 being the lowest responsible bidder meeting all
terms, conditions and specifications of Quotation No. Q86-7 be
awarded the contract to supply and deliver one (1 ) only 1986
Cargo Van to the Town of Newcastle as required by the Department of
Community Services; and
3. That the funds be drawn from the 1986 approved Community Services capital
budget Account Number 7602-0505-X-0 ($12,746.59) and that the
additional required funds of $474.33 be drawn from the Community
Services Equipment Reserve Fund.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
A quotation was publicly advertised and invited for the supply and delivery of one (1 )
only 1986 Cargo Van as required by the Department of Community Services. Quotations were
received and tabulated as follows:

QUOTATION NO. Q86-7, VEHICLE QUOTATION - CARGO VAN (COMMUNITY SERVICES)
After review of the bids by Purchasing and Community Services, it was mutually agreed that
the bid from Cowan Pontiac Buick Ltd. , Bowmanville, Ontario, be recommended for the
quotation award.
