T85-18 TREE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend to Council the following: 1. That this report be received; and 2. That Cross Bros. Tree Service, Whitby, Ontario, with a bid of $ 17, 610.00 being the lowest responsible bidder meeting all terms, conditions, and specifications of Tender T85-18 be awarded the contract for Tree Maintenance as required by the Department of Public Works; and 3. That the funds be drawn from the 1985 approved Public Works Road Maintenance Budget. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: A tender was publicly advertised and called for the supply of all necessary labour, materials and equipment to perform the "Tree Maintenance Program" as required by the Department of Public Works. T85-18 TREE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM Asplrendh Utility Services Ltd. Cobourg, Ontario Cross Bros. Tree Service Ltd. Whitby, Ontario Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada Ltd. Toronto, Ontario Landgroff Forestry Ltd. Windsor, Ontario Arborcon Tree Maintenance Oshawa, Ontario The only tender submitted was as follows: BIDDER TOTAL BID Cross Bros. Tree Service $17,610.00 *corrected Whitby, Ontario tender After review and analysis of the tenders by Public Works and Purchasing staff, it was agreed that Cross Bros. Tree Service, Whitby, Ontario, be awarded the contract for Tree Maintenance as tendered. Cross Bros.
