CAMPBELL, C.A.,TREASURER 40 TEMPERANCE STREET TEL.(416) 623-3379 BOWMANVILLE, ONTARIO L1C 3A6 REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 16, 1985 REPORT NO. : TR-60-85 SUBJECT: TENDER T85-16 NO. 2 DOMESTIC FUEL OIL RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend to Council the following: 1 . That this report be received; and 2. That DX Oil Company, Oshawa, Ontario with a total bid in the amount of $76,725.00, being the lowest responsible bidder meeting all terms, conditions, and specifications of Tender T85-16 be awarded the contract to supply and deliver No. 2 Domestic Fuel Oil to the Town of Newcastle for the 1985/86 winter season; and 3. That the funds expended be drawn from the 1985/86 budget allocation for heating of facilities. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: Tenders were publicly advertised and called for the supply and delivery of No. 2 Domestic Fuel Oil as required by the Town of Newcastle facilities. The tenders were received and tabulated as follows: - 2 - TR-60-85 TENDER T85-16 NO. 2 DOMESTIC FUEL OIL BIDDER TOTAL BID (BASED ON 275,000 LITRES) DX Oil Company $76,725.00 Oshawa, Ontario Petro Canada Products Inc. 79,475.00 Don Mills, Ontario McKee 82,225.00 Brooklin, Ontario Gulf Canada Ltd. 83,050.00 Toronto, Ontario Dixon Fuels 83,600.00 Oshawa, Ontario Sipco Oil Limited 84,700.00 Oshawa, Ontario Perry Fuels Inc. 87,010.00 Oshawa, Ontario Esso Petroleum 91 ,300.00 Don Mills, Ontario After review and tabulation of the bids by Purchasing, it is recommended that the low bidder, DX Oil Co. , be awarded the contract to supply and deliver fuel oil as required by The Town of Newcastle. espectfully submitted, Kathryn A.
