REPORT TO GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING
HELD SEPTEMBER 3, 1985.
REPORT NO. : TR-56-85
SUBJECT: TENDER NO. T85-13 - (2) 35,000 G.V.W. CAB & CHASSIS
(VEHICLE TENDER)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1 . that this report be received; and
2. that Scarborough Truck Centre, Agincourt,
Ontario with a total bid of $77,010.04 being
the lowest responsible bidder meeting all terms,
conditions, and specifications of Tender No.
T85-13 be awarded the contract to supply and
deliver two only 1986 35,000 G.V.W. Cab and
Chassis to the Town of Newcastle as required by
the Department of Public Works; and
3. that the funds be drawn from the 1985 approved
Public Works capital budget.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
A tender was publicly advertised and invited for the supply and
delivery of two only 1986 35,000 G.V.W. Cab and Chassis as
required by the Department of Public Works. Tenders were
received and tabulated as follows:

After review of the bids by Purchasing and Public Works, it was
mutually agreed that the bid from Scarborough Truck Centre,
Agincourt, Ontario be recommended for the tender award.
