REPORT TO GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING
HELD MAY 6 , 1985.
REPORT NO. : TR-26-85
SUBJECT: TENDER T85-2 - VEHICLE TENDER
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1 . that this report be received; and
2. that Cowan Pontiac Buick Ltd. , Bowmanville, Ontario
with a total bid of $12,749.05 being the lowest
responsible bidder meeting all terms, conditions ,
and specifications of Tender T85-2 be awarded the
contract to supply and deliver one only 1985
10,500 G.V.W. Cab and Chassis to the Town of Newcastle
as required by the Department of Community Services;
and
3. that the funds be drawn from the 1985 approved
Community Services capital budget.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
A tender was publicly advertised and invited for the supply and
delivery of one only 1985 10,500 G.V.W. Cab and Chassis as
required by the Department of Community Services.

Tenders were received and tabulated as follows:

Cowan Pontiac Buick Ltd. , $ 12,749.05
Bowmanville, Ontario.
After review of the bid by Purchasing and Community Services ,
it was mutually agreed that the bid from Cowan Pontiac Buick Ltd. ,
Bowmanville be recommended for the tender award.
