REPORT TO GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING
HELD APRIL 15, 1985.

SUBJECT: TENDER T85-3 - TWO FRONT MOUNT RIDING MOWERS
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration
Committee recommend to Council the following:
1 . that this report be received; and
2. that Turf Care, Markham, Ontario with a total bid of
$24,845.40 being the lowest responsible bidder meeting
all terms, conditions, and specifications of Tender
T85-3 be awarded the contract to supply and deliver
two only Front Mount Riding Mowers (Diesel - water
cooled) , 1 only 62" Floating Cutting Unit and 1 only
52" Floating Rear Discharge Cutting Unit to the Town
of Newcastle as required by the Department of
Community Services; and
3. that the funds be drawn from the 1985 approved Community
Services capital budget.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT
A tender was publicly advertised and invited for the supply and
delivery of two only Front Mount Riding Mowers (Diesel - water cooled) , 1
only 62" Floating Cutting Unit and 1 only 52" Floating Rear Discharge
Cutting Unit as required by the Department of Community Services.
Tenders were received and tabulated as follows:

After review of the bids by Purchasing and Community Services, it
was mutually agreed that the bid from Turf Care, Markham be recommended for the
tender award.
