CAMPBELL, G.A.,TREASURER 40 TEMPERANCE STREET TEL.(416) 623-3379 BOWMANVILLE, ONTARIO L1 C 3A6 REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING OF DECEMBER 3, 1984 REPORT NO. : TR-97-84 SUBJECT: MUNICIPAL CONTRIBUTION TO THE BOWMANVILLE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FUND RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend to Council the following: 1. That this report be received, and 2. That the attached By-Law to authorize the expenditure of $300,000 as the municipal contribution to the Bowmanville Memorial Hospital Renovation and Expansion be approved and forwarded to the Ontario Municipal Board. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: Pursuant to Council ' s direction staff have prepared the attached by-law to secure the funding of the municipal commi ttment for this project. The commi ttment consists of three payments being $83,334 in 1985, $83,333 in 1986 and $83,333 in 1987 for a total of $250,000 plus the $50,000 in administrative costs and value of lands transfered for the road closing. That the municipal contribution for administrative cc and value of lands transferred for the road closing be $50,000. 2. That the municipal cash contribution of $250,000 be paid in equal installments in each of three years being 1985 , 1986, and 1987. 3. That the $300,000 contribution to the project be funded from general taxation revenues in 1985, 1986 and 1987 . 4. That this by-law not take effect until it receives approval of the OMB under Section 64(1) of the Ontario Municipal Board Act. READ a first time this day of , 1984.
