REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING
HELD NOVEMBER 5, 1984
TR - 89 -84
SUBJECT: TENDER T84-20, HALES BRIDGE ROAD APPROACHES
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1 . that this report be received; and
2. that Behan Construction Ltd. , Cobourg, Ontario with a bid in the
amount of $23,363.00 being the lowest responsible bidder meeting
all terms, conditions, and specifications of Tender T84-20 be
awarded the contract for the Hales Bridge Road Approaches as
as required by the Town of Newcastle; and
3. that the funds be drawn from the approved Public Works Bridge
and Culvert Maintenance budget #7206-X-84010-X.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
Tender specifications and plans were provided by Totten Sims Hubicki
Associates for the Hales Bridge Road Approaches, as required by the Department
of Public Works. Subsequently, tenders were advertised with bids being received
and tabulated as follows:

After review and analysis of the bids by Public Works, Tottem Sims
Hubicki Associates, and Purchasing, it was mutually agreed that the low bidder,
Behan Construction Ltd. , be awarded the contract for Hales Bridge Road Approaches.
