REPORT TO GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING
HELD JULY 16, 1984
TR - 65 - 84
SUBJECT: EXECUTION OF AGREEMENTS - M.N.R. ONTARIO BASIC MAPPING PROJECT
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1 . that this report be received; and
2. that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the
Corporation of the Town of Newcastle and seal with the Corporation seal ,
an Agreement between Her Majesty the Queen in the right of Ontario as
represented by the Minister of Natural Resources for the Province of
Ontario and the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle for the M.N.R.
Ontario Basic Mapping Project, Tender T84-5; and
3. that the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the
Corporation of the Town of Newcastle and seal with the Corporation Seal ,
an Agreement between McElhanney Mapping Services, Ottawa, Ontario and
the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle for the M.N.R. Ontario Basic
Mapping Project, Tender T84-5; and
4. that the attached by-laws be forwarded to Council for approval .
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT
Report number TR-34-84, Tender T84-5 M.N.R. Ontario Basic Mapping Project,
recommended "that staff further liaise with the Ministry of Natural Resources and the
prime contractor to prepare an agreement for the commencement of the mapping project;
and that the agreement be presented to Council for approval , when available from the
Ministry of Natural Resources."
Further to the recommendations of the aforementioned report, staff is submitting
the agreements to Council for approval to permit the mapping project to proceed.
Consultation with the Town solicitors , in respect of the agreements, revealed that all
documents were in proper and legal order.
Staff recommends that Council approve execution of the agreements, as submitted.

BY-LAW NO. 84-97
Being a by-law to authorize the entering
into an agreement with Her Majesty The Queen
in right of Ontario as represented by The
Minister of Natural Resources for the Province
of Ontario.
THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute, on behalf of the Corporation of the Town
of Newcastle, and seal with the Corporation Seal ,
an agreement with Her Majesty The Queen in right
of Ontario as represented by The Minister of Natural
Resources for the Province of Ontario and the
Corporation dated the day of
19 , which an agreement is attached
hereto and marked Schedule "A".
