HANDOUT REPORT NO. : TR-62-84 SUBJECT: TENDER T84-12, ONE 50 H.P. AMMONIA COMPRESSOR & MOTOR RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended to Council : 1 . that this report be received; and 2. that APV Crepaco of Canada Ltd. , Weston, Ontario with a total bid in the amount of $18,735.00 being the lowest responsible bidder meeting all terms, conditions, and specifications of Tender T84-12 be awarded the contract to supply and install one only 50 H.P. Ammonia Compressor and Motor as required by the Town of Newcastle; and 3. that the funds be drawn from the approved 1984 Community Services Capital budget of $20,000.00 (Account #1110-X-160-2) . BACKGROUND AND COMMENT A tender was publicly advertised and invited for the supply and installation of one only 50 H.P. Ammonia Compressor and Motor as required by the Department of Community Services for the Bowmanville Memorial Arena. The bids were received and tabulated as follows: Bidder Total Bid Amount APV Crepaco of Canada Ltd. $18,735.00 Weston, ON Lewis Cimco 19,800.00 Toronto, ON J.L. Wilson & Sons Ltd. 21 ,836.00 Toronto, ON After review and analysis of the bids by Purchasing and Community Services staff, it was agreed that the low bidder APV Crepaco, Weston be recommended for the contract award.
