BACKGROUND 1.1 Our report covers the month of February, 2002. It is our intent to provide Committee with information relevant to this department, in a timely manner 2. REPORT 2.1 The department responded to 202 calls in February and recorded total fire loss at $34,500. A breakdown of calls responded to follows in the table attached. *Standby As indicated in the table attached, Station 1 partltime firefighters were activated twice in February to standby while Pumper 1 and Pumper 4 responded to an emergency call. Also, in accordance with our response procedures, Pumper 4 provided coverage, twice in February, at Headquarters Station in Bowmanville, while Pumper 1 was tied up at an emergency call.
