SUBJECT: TENDER T83-19, HOT MIX RESURFACING
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1 . that this report be received; and
2, that Bennett Paving and Materials Ltd. , Oshawa , Ontario with a total
bid in the amount of $96,570.90 being the lowest responsible bidder
meeting all terms, conditions and specifications of Tender T83-19 be
awarded the contract to supply and place Hot Mix Ashphalt as required
by the Town of Newcastle and .
3, that the funds expended be provided from the approved Public Works
roads maintenance and construction budget.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT
Tenders were publicly advertised and called for the supply and placement of Hot Mix
Asphalt as required by the Department of Public Works.
Tenders were received and tabulated as follows:

After review and analysis of the tenders by Public Works and Purchasing staff, it
was agreed that Bennett Paving, Oshawa be awarded the contract to supply and place
Hot Mix Asphalt as tendered.
