REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION MEETING HELD JUNE 6, 1983

SUBJECT: FIVE YEAR CAPITAL FORECAST
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1. That this report be received; and
2. That Committee consider the Five Year Capital Forecast for
approval. (copi-es have previously been distributed).
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT
At the General Purpose and Administration Committee Meeting of March 21,
1983 the Committee considered the Five Year Capital Forecast and
forwarded to a special meeting of the General Purpose and Administration
Committee on April 29, 1983 for further discussions.
The Five Year Capital Forecast with amendments was forwarded to Council
for approval from the meeting of April 29, 1983. At the Council table
on May 9, 1983 the motion to approve the Five Year Capital Forecast was
lost. Since the Five Year Capital Forecast is considered to be a mid-range
planning tool to assist in the future budgetting of the Town and the Region,
staff now ask that Committee review the document again and recommend its
approval to Council.
