SUBJECT: TENDER T83-4, TRACTOR (AGRICULTURAL)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1 . that this report be received; and
2. that Trewin Farm Equipment, Blackstock , Ontario with a total
bid of $11 ,502.50 being the lowest responsible bidder meeting
all terms, conditions and specifications of Tender T83-4 be
awarded the contract to supply and deliver one only 1983 Allis-
Chalmers Model 5045 (Fiat Diesel ) Tractor to the Town of New-
castle as required by the Department of Community Services and
3. that the funds be expended from the 1983 approved Community
Services capital budget as provided.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT
Tenders were publicly advertised and called for the supply and delivery
of one only Tractor (Agricultural) as required by the Department of Community
Services. A bid tabulation on "Schedule A" is attached.
After review and an on-site inspection of the low bidder's proposed
tractor by Purchasing and Community Services , it was mutually agreed that Trewin
Farm Equipment, Blackstock, be awarded the tender to supply and deliver one only
1983 Allis-Chalmers , Model 5045 (Fiat Diesel ) to the Town of Newcastle as tendered.
