SUBJECT: TENDER T83- 7, PRIME AND SURFACE TREATMENT
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended :
1 . that this report be received; and
2. That Evans Contracting Ltd. , Bradford with a total bid in the amount of
$544,500.00 being the lowest responsible bidder meeting all terms , con-
ditions and specifications of Tender T83-7 be awarded the contract to
supply and apply Prime and Surface Treatment to roads as required by the
Town of Newcastle and
3. that the funds expended be provided from the approved Public Works roads
material maintenance budget.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT
Tenders were publicly advertised and called for the supply and application of
Prime and Surface Treatment as required by the Department of Public Works.
Tenders were received and tabulated as per attached Schedule "A" .
After review and analysis of the tender by Public Works and Purchasing , it
was agreed that Evans Contracting Ltd. be awarded the contract to prime and surface
treat Town roads as required.
