REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION MEETING HELD ON
APRIL 18, 1983,
TR-83-22
SUBJECT: SELF-INSURED LOSSES RESERVE - NEWCASTLE FITNESS CENTRE - VANDALISM
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1 . That this report be received; and
2. That $389.58 be taken from the Self-Insured Losses Reserve
in favour of the Newcastle Fitness Centre to cover damage
and loss of supplies.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
On March 8th, 1983 the Newcastle Fitness Centre was vandalized. One of
the front windows was broken by a rock, the size of the window is 60" x 72"
which has been replaced by a double glazed plate window. The total repair
cost came to $389.58.

Sometime between 11 :00 p , m. on March 8th and 3 :00 a. m.

on March 9th, one of the front windows in the Newcastle Fitness Centre
was broken by a reel: .
Tho Operator , Mr . H. Knox reported this incident of
vandalism to Mr . :Fred Payne at 8 : 00 a , m, Mr . Payne reported the act
of vandalism to the Police.
