SUBJECT: TENDER T83-2 , SALT & SAND SPREADER DUAL DUMP BODIES
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1 . that this report be received; and
2. that MTI Schmidt, Bracebridge, Ontario with a bid of $20,601 .78 for the
supply of two only Salt & Sand Spreader Dual Dump Bodies being the lowest
responsible bidder meeting all terms , conditions and specifications of
Tender T83-2 be awarded the contract to supply the Dual Dump Bodies to the
Town of Newcastle and
3. that the funds expended be provided from account 7212-0504-00209-4.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT
Tenders were publicly advertised and called for the supply of two only dual dump bodies
for sanding and salt spreading as required by the Department of Public Works.
The tenders were received and tabulated as follows :

After inspecting and assessing the quality of the units proposed by the low bidder by
Public Works and Purchasing it was agreed that the MTI Schmidt of Bracebridge be awarded
the contract to supply the Dual Dump Bodies as tendered.
