REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING
HELD FEBRUARY 7, 1983.

SUBJECT: PETITION FOR SUPPLEMENTARY SUBSIDY UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF
THE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AND HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT ACT ON
EXPENDITURES MADE DURING THE YEAR 1982.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
"That the Treasurer be authorized to petition the Ministry
of Transportation and Communication for Final Supplementary
Subsidy on expenditures in Public Works Department from January
1 to December 31st, 1982. "
Inorder, that the statments are not held up past the deadline date of
February 23, 1983, staff ask that the Council pass the necessary Resolution
to authorize the petition for subsidy prior to the actual preparation and
submission of the petition.
