COMPLETE WITH PLOW EQUIPMENT
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1 . That Report TR-39-91 be received;
2 . That Winslow-Gerolamy Motors, Peterborough, Ontario, with
a total bid in the amount of $79,872 . 10, being the lowest
responsible bidder meeting all terms, conditions and
specifications of Tender NW91-15, be awarded the contract
to supply and deliver one ( 1) only Cab and Chassis 35,000
G.V.W.R. complete with Plow Equipment, to the Town of
Newcastle Department of Public Works; and
3 . That the funds be drawn from the 1991 approved Public Works
Equipment Reserve, Account #2900-00010-0000.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
A tender was publicly advertised and invited for the supply and
delivery of one ( 1) only Cab and Chassis 35,000 G.V.W.R. complete with
Plow Equipment, as required by the Department of Public Works .
Tenders were received and tabulated as per Schedule "A" attached.
The total required funds of $79, 872 . 10 will be drawn from the 1991
approved Public Works Equipment Reserve, Account #2900-00010-0000, and
is within the $110,000 .00 allocated for this equipment, as reflected
in the Public Works Capital Budget.

WITH PLOW EQUIPMENT
The Treasurer has reviewed the funding requirements and concurs with
the recommendation. Queries with respect to department needs,
specifications, etc. , should be referred to the Director of Public
Works .
After review and analysis of the bids by both Purchasing and Public
Works, it was mutually agreed that the low bid from Winslow-Gerolamy
Motors, Peterborough, Ontario, be recommended for the tender award.
The subject firm have previously provided vehicles to the satisfaction
of the Town of Newcastle.
