Dear Ms. Birkett:
Re: Contract No. T89-4, Nash Road Reconstruction, Windsor Valley Place to
Trull's Road, Town of Newcastle
We have reviewed the tenders submitted with your letter dated March 13, 1989
and find them to be correct. Your letter indicates that documentation with
the bids was in order. The cheques of the two lowest bids shall be retained
until a contract has been executed.
Kamlu Construction, the low bidder, has performed a number of contracts with
our firm, the most recent being John Street Reconstruction, Port Hope. The
work was performed in a satisfactory manner. We have therefore no reason to
disqualify the low bidder.
Should Council concur with our recommendations, kindly forward a copy of the
appropriate resolution to the Ministry of Transportation Ontario with a copy
to ourselves.
Work is scheduled to commence on April 17, 1989 and sixty (60) working days
have been allocated for completion.
Yours truly,
TOTTEN SIMS HUBICKI ASSOCIATES
