SUBJECT: TENDER T88-4, ONE (1) ONLY FRONT MOUNT RIDING MOWER
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully reconinended that the General Purpose and Administration
Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. That this report be received; and
2. That Utica Farm EquiEment Limited, Port Perry, Ontario, with a
total bid of $12,061.44, being the lowest responsible bidder
meeting all terms, conditions and specifications of Tender T88-4,
be awarded the contract to supply and deliver one (1) only
Front Mount Riding Mower and one (1) only 72" Floating Cutting
Unit, to the Town of Newcastle as required by the Department of
Community Services; and
3. That the funds be drawn from the approved 1988 Community Services
Capital budget.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
Tenders were publicly advertised and invited for the supply and delivery of
one (1) only Front Mount Riding Mower and one (1) only 72" Floating Cutting
Unit, as required by the Department of Community Services.

Tenders were received and tabulated as per Schedule "A" attached.
The required funds will be drawn from the approved 1988 Community Services
Capital budget and are well within the $17,000.00 budgeted for this
equipment. The Treasurer has reviewed the funding requirements and concurs
with the recommendation. Queries with respect to department needs, equipment
specifications, etc., should be referred to the Director of Community Services.
After review and analysis of the bids by Purchasing and Community Services,
it was mutually agreed that the low bid from Utica Farm Equipment Limited,
Port Perry, Ontario, be recommended for the Tender award.
