SUBJECT: TENDER NO. T88-3, ONE (1) 3/4 TON CREW CAB PICK UP TRUCK
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration
Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. That this report be received; and
2. That Roy Nichols Motors Limited, Bowmanville, Ontario, with a total
bid of $17,153.81, being the lowest responsible bidder meeting all
terms, conditions and specifications of Tender T88-3, be awarded the
contract, to supply and deliver one (1) only 1988 3/4 Ton Crew Cab
Pick Up Truck, to the Town of Newcastle as required by the Department
of Community Services; and
3. That the funds in the amount of $17,000.00 be drawn from the 1988
approved Community Services Capital Budget, Account #7602-00000-0505
and that the additional required funds of $153.81 be drawn from the
Community Services Capital Budget, Account #7603-00001-0505.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
A tender was publicly advertised and invited for the supply and delivery of
one (1) only 3/4 Ton Crew Cab Pick Up Truck, as required by the Department of
Community Services.

As the total bid price of $I7^153.81 is over the $17,000.00 provided for in the
1988 Capital Budget, funds in the amount of ¢I7,000.00 will be drawn from the
1988 approved Community Services Budget, Account #7602-00000-0505 and the
additional required funds of ¢153.8I will be drawn from the Community Services
Capitol Budget, Account #7603-00001-0505.
After review and analysis of the bids by both Purchasing and Community Services,
it was motuaIly agreed that the lm* bid from Dol/ 0ioboIo Motors Limited,
BovmauviIIe' Ontario, be recommended for the tender award.
