REPORT TO GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE
MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 13, 1982.
REPORT NO. : FD-14-82
SUBJECT: . Activities - Fire Prevention Week j
October 3rd to 9th, 1982
RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Fire Department be granted permission
to hold "Open House" at all stations, information
and display booth at Bowmanville Mall , along
with demonstrations and display of apparatus
and equipment.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
The "Open House" fire station visitations is for the general public, along with
school groups, clubs, guides, scouts, etc.
The demonstrations would involve the outdoor operation of the new aerial
ladders and water tower, probably portable fire extinguishers and the extinguish-
ment of Class B fires (flammable liquids).
The advertisement should be inserted in the 3 local newspapers for the week of
September 27, 1982,
