REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND
ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING
OF NOVEMBER 7th, 1983.
REPORT NUMBER: FD 16-83
SUBJECT: Use of apparatus bay - Fire Station No. 4,
Courtice.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
THAT permission be granted to the Band
Parents ' Association of Courtice Secondary
School for the use of the south apparatus
bay, Fire Station #4, Courtice, to store,
sort and dispense fruit during the week of
December 6, 1983.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
This is an annual fund raising event held by the Band Parents ' Association of
Courtice Secondary School , at which time a tractor-trailer load of boxed fruit
(grapefruit, oranges) is purchased from a grower in Texas. The delivery re-
quires a heated building in which to unload the trailer and dispense the fruit
to supporters of the event. This usually requires approximately two days to
sort, pickup or deliver.
The event last year was well organized and, d'id not present any problems to the
operation of the Fire Department.
