SUB.)ECT: Use of Apparatus Bay - Fire Station #4, Courtice

RECOMMENDATIONS: l
It is respectfully recommended:
THAT permission be granted to the Band Parents ' Association
of Courtice Secondary School for the use of the south ap-
paratus bay, Fire Station #4, Courtice, to store, sort and
dispense fruit during the week of December 2nd, as per
their letter of request attached and received November 19/85.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:
I
This is an annual fund raising event held by the Band Parents' Association of
Courtice Secondary School , at which time a tractor trailer load of boxed fruit,
I
(grapefruit, oranges) is purchased from a grower in Texas. The delivery requires a
heated building in which to unload the trailer and dispense the fruit to supporters
of the event. This usually requires approximately two days to sort, pickup or
deliver.
The event has been well organized in
g previous years and has not presented any
problems to the operation of the Fire Department.

Dear Chief Aldridge :
Once again the Band Parents ' Association of this school will
organize a citrus fruit fund raising campaign to assist the
Music Department .
A truckload of citrus fruit is expected to arrive on Monday ,
December 2nd .. Hopefully all orders will be completed by Thursday ,
December 5th .
On behalf of the organizers of this campaign , I request the use
of a bay of the Courtice Fire Hall to serve as a depot for the
fruit .
