RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended:
THAT Fire Department Report 29-86 be received for information.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS
The Town of Newcastle Fire Department's baseball team, which is made up of firefighters
from each of our four stations, recently competed in the Durham Region Mutual Aid Fire-
fighters' Association tournament, hosted by the Sunderland Fire Department.
I am pleased to report that our team, under the coaching leadership of Lloyd Forsey, won
the overall championship and they are to be congratulated for their outstanding perform-
ance and sportsmanship.
