REPORT #: FD - 24 FILE #: 10.12.6 SUBJECT: Damage Report. I RECOMMENDATIONS: It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Admini- stration Committee recommend to Council : 1 . ) THAT Fire Department Report No. 24-86 be received for information. BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS i On Wednesday, June 24, 1986 the holding cells in the Police/Fire Building were being used by the Court to secure persons for their court appearance. Police report at- ached. Sometime during the afternoon one of the detained persons damaged the toilet in the cell causing water to flood into the Fire Department basement storage area, which is directly under the cell area. Water damage was sustained to approximately 18 packages of Fire Department stationary, which are now unusable. Other Fire Department items that were affected by the flood- ing water have since been dried, checked and found to be usable. The dollar loss for stationary amounts to approximately $150.00, which will be replaced with funds from Fire Department Stationary and Office Supplies account.
