COLUMN 3: Total losses of buildings where loss has been established by the insurance company. COLUMN 5: Loss has been established by the insurance company. Miscellaneous: Complaints, (yards, alleys, etc. ). 1 Hydro Defects: Wiring, Electric Panels, Extension Cords. 2 Solid Fuel Burning Appl. : Wood stoves, chimneys, etc. 8 Departmental Inquiries: Business concerning Fire Department. 50 TOTAL FOR MONTH 156 FIRE DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES Fire Safety Courses - Given to technical class students at Courtice & Bowmanville High School , 580 students, by Platoon Chief, Mar. 3,4,5 & 6. - Given to cubs at St. Stephen's School , brownies at St. Paul ' s United Church, and 17 public schools throughout the munici- pality by Fire Prevention Officer, Fire Safety Display - conducted at Bowmanville Mall in conjunction with wood stoves, March 21st and 22nd. March 6/86 - Fire Chief attended D.R.F.C. meeting in Whitby, 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. , re 911 Emergency System Proposal . March 13/86 - Meet with Ministry of Health Official , Fire Marshal Inspector re fire inspections of Group Homes in Newcastle. March 14/86 - Fire Prevention Meeting, Port Perry, 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. (2) March 23/86(Sunday) - 14 members attended a fire related demonstration at Millbrook
