SUBJECT: Quotation No. Q86-11 - Vehicle Quotation - 112 Ton Passenger Utility
Truck

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Admini-
stration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1 . ) THAT this report be received:
2. ) THAT Cowan Pontiac Buick Ltd. , Bowmanville, Ontario, with a total
bid of $15,418.70, being the lowest responsible bidder, meeting
all terms, conditions and specifications of Quotation NO. Q86-11 ,
be awarded the contract to supply and deliver one (1 ) only, 1986
six passenger, 1/2 ton utility truck as required by the Fire Department; and
3. ) THAT the funds in the amount of $15,000 be drawn from Fire Depart-
ment Acct. No. 7102-504-1-7 and that the additional funds of $418.70
be drawn from the Fire Department Reserve Account No. 2900-0014-3.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS
A Quotation was publicly advertised and invited for the supply and delivery of one (1 )
only 1986 1/2 ton, passenger utility truck, as required by the Fire Department. Quota-
tions were received and tabulated as follows:

After review of the bids by the Purchasing Agent and Fire Chief, it was mutually
agreed that the bid from Cowan Pontiac Buick Ltd. , Bowmanville, Ontario be recommended
for the quotation award.
