BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS
The Town of Newcastle Fire Department's baseball team, which is made up of firefighters
from three of our stations, recently competed in the Durham Regional Mututal Aid Fire-
fighters' Association tournament, hosted by the Sunderland Fire Department.
I am pleased to report that our team, under the coaching leadership of Lloyd Forsey, won
the overall championship for the third consecutive year. They are to be congratulated
for their outstanding performance and sportsmanship.
