Subject: By-law Number 71-81
The Corporation of the Township of Scugog
Recommendation:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:-
1. By-law Number 71-81 of the Township of Scugog be received
and filed.
Background and Comments:
By-law Number 71-81 of the Township of Scugog was forwarded to
the Planning and Development Department on November 27, 1981. The By-
law rezones a parcel of land located in part of Lot 22, Concession 2
within the Township of Scugog. The subject By-law amendment would
permit the use of the lands for two single-family detached dwellings
and a health resort establishment, and uses, buildings and structures
accessory thereto.
The subject By-law applies to an area of the Township of Scugog
which would not affect the interests of the Town of Newcastle. There-
fore, no further action of the zoning amendment would be required. The

NOTICE OF APPLICATION to The Ontario Municipal Board
by The Corporation of the Township of Scugog for ry
approval of a. by-law to regulate land arse passed a
pursuant to -Section 33 of The Planning Act.
.TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the 'township of Scugog
-iniends .to apply to The Ontario Municipal Board pursuant to the provisions
of Section 39 of The Piarming Act kor approval of By-Lam 71-81 passed
on the .23rd day of November , 1981. A copy of the by-lava is furnished
herewith and a note giving an explanation of the .purpose and effect of. the
by-law and stating the lands-_affected thereby is also furnished herewith.
ANY PERSON INTERESTED MAY, within twenty-one (21) days after the date of
this notice, send by registered mail or deliver to the clerk of ;the Town-
ship of Scugog notice of objection to 'approval of the said by-law or part
thereof -giving details of.all or the portion of the by=law 'to which.you
object and detailed reasons therefor, and shall indicate that if a: hear-
- ing is field the objector or an agent will attend at-the hearing to support
the objection.
ANY -PERSON_ wishing to support the.application for approval of the by-law
may within. twenty-one. (21) days after the. date of this notice send by
_ registered mail or deliver to-the clerk .of the Township of Seugog notice
of his support of approval of the said by-law togethbr with.- a request
fdr -notice of any, hearing that may be held giving also the name-and
address to which such. notice should be given..
THE ONTARIO-MUNICIPAL BOARD may approve.of the said by-law but :before
doing.,so it may appoint a time and place when any objection to the by-
law-will be.considered. Notice of any hewing that may be held will be
given only to persons who have filed an'objection or notice of support
and who have left with or delivered to, the clerk undersigned, the address
to which notice of hearing is to be sent and, similarly, to any person
who has filed a request for a change in the provisions of the by-law.
THE LAST DATE FOR FILING OBJECTIONS will be December 17 : 1981-

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Townshi
of Scugog : ha.s received a request to amend Restricted Area
By-Law No. 75-80 insofar as is necessary to allow for the
development of a parcel of land, . located in part of Lot 22,
Concession 3; of .approximately 22 . 3
hectares, for the purposes of a 1~e:�_lth spa and resort;
AND WHEREAS. the Council of tlse Corporation of the
Township of- Scugog has given due consideration to this
matter and further considerS it to bo desirable to amend
Restricted Area By-Law No. 75-80 so as to allow for the
development. of tire; aforementi-oned proposal .
AND WHEREAS the materials herein set forth. are consider
to be in confor iity with the Official Plan of the Township of"'-
Scugog;

TOWNSHH.P OF SCUGOG Hereby Enacts As Follows :

this By-Law .from. the Environmental Protection (EP) Zone
to the aural (Rid) Zone .

4. THAT this By-Law shall come into force..and effect on the
date it is passed by the Council of the Corporation of
the Township of S.cugog, subject to the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board.
