(416)263-2231 REPORT TO THE COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 8, 1981 REPORT NO. : P-158-81 SUBJECT: Application for Site Plan Approval, Part of Lot 25, Concession 7, former Township of Clarke Kirby General Store - File: S-P-3-11 RECOMMENDATIONS: It is respectfully recommended to Council that: 1. Report P-158-81 be received; and 2. That the attached Site Plan Agreement be approved; and 3. That the attached By-law authorizing execution of the subject Site Plan Agreement also be approved. BACKGROUND: On August 11, 1981, staff received the above-noted appli- cation for Site Plan approval. The applicants, William and Robert Reid, are proposing the construction of a retail commercial building on that portion of the old Kirby School Site which is to be conveyed by the Town to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications and subsequently to the Reids. Said lands were the subject of staff reports P-93-81 and P-157-81 ' d r' (this Agenda) , in respect of an amendment to the "Heritage" designation and zoning applicable thereto. e• -� `0�� 2 - COMMENTS: Staff have reviewed the subject application and have no objections to its approval. The attached Site Plan Agreement incorpor- ates provisions addressing those concerns identified through our staff circulation and has been reviewed with and agreed to by the applicants. Upon completion of the conveyance of the subject lands, Part 3, Plan 1OR-1289, to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications and the provision of a signed copy of an Agreement of Purchase and Sale between the Reids and ( the Province, it would be appropriate for the Town to execute this Agree- ment. A By-law authorizing the execution of the Agreement has been attached for Council's approval. Staff note that this application should be con- sidered concurrently with Council's consideration of Staff Report P-157-81 and should only be approved if final reading and approval are given to By-law 81-71.
