SMITH, M.C.I,P., Director HAMPTON.ONTARIO LOB 1 JO TEL.(416)263-2231 REPORT TO THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 14, 1981. REPORT NO. : P-142-81 i SUBJECT: Application for Rezoning No. Z-A-1-12-4 Application for Site Plan Approval S-P-1-13 Part of Lot 18, Concession 5, former Township of Darlington - Mrs. Bonnie Faber RECOMMENDATIONS: It is respectfully recommended that the Planning and Development Committee recommend to Council the following: 1. That Report P-141781 be received; and 2. That the attached Site Plan Agreement be executed and the accompanying zoning by-law amendment approved; and 3. That the Clerk be directed to prepare a By-law for the purpose of authorizing the execution of the attached Site Plan Agreement for submission to and consideration by Council at its meeting of September 21, 1981. BACKGROUND: On February 16, 1981 the Planning and Development Committee considered Staff Report P-33-81 in respect of the above-noted application 9- _ 2 _ for rezoning. The purpose of that application was to rezone the subject property in order to permit the continuation of an existing retail operation being an antique and gift shop located within the residence of the applicant. As a result of the Committee's consideration, it was recommended to Council on February 23, 1981 that the subject application be approved and the necessary By-law forwarded to Council for approval at such time as the applicant had executed a Development Agreement with the Town. Said Agreement was to be forwarded to Council with the attached By-law. In that regard, on May 8, 1981, staff forwarded a draft Development Agreement to the applicant for their review. The proposed Agreement has now been signed by the applicant and it would now be appropriate to forward this Agreement along with the necessary zoning by-law amendment for execution and approval. Staff feel that these items should be considered concurrently. Respectfully submitted, TTE:lb D. N. Smith, M.C.I.P. August 10, 1981 Director of Planning
