SUBJECT: Application for Rezoning Number Z-A-2-12-5
Part of Lot 9, Concession 1, former Town of
Bowmanville - Mrs. G. Willis
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended:
1. That Application for Rezoning Number Z-A-2-12-5 be
approved; and
2. That the attached By-law 81-�� be forwarded to Council
for approval; and
3. That the Region of Durham be advised of Council's actions.
BACKGROUND:
On October 27, 1980, Report P-175-80 was presented to the
Planning and Development Committee regarding the rezoning of a parcel
of land fronting on Mearns Avenue in the Town of Bowmanville. At the
Council meeting on November 3, 1980, the following resolution was adopted
by Council:
"That the by-law attached to Report P-175-80 be approved at
such time as the required 10 foot road widening on Mearn's
Avenue is dedicated to the Town and the required lot develop-
ment charges are paid."

COMMENTS:
Staff have now received the Deed which transfer the 10
foot road widening to the Town, together with the required lot
development charge for the subject lands. In order to complete the
rezoning of these lands in accordance with the Council resolution of
November 3, 1980 are recommending that the attached By-law be forwarded
to Council for approval.

By-law Number 81-96
a By-law to amend Restricted Area By-law Number
1587, as amended, of the former Town of Bowmanville.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle deems
it advisable to amend Restricted Area By-law Number 1587, as amended,
of the former Town of Bowmanville.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Newcastle
ENACTS as follows:
1. Map 4 of By-law 1587, as amended, is hereby further amended
by changing to Rl the zone designation of the lands indicated
as "ZONE CHANGE TO Rl" on the attached Schedule "X" hereto.
2. This By-law shall come into effect on the date hereof, subject
to the provisions of Section 35(10) of the Planning Act.

BY-LAW READ a third time and finally passed this 27 day of July
