RECOMMENDATIONS:
I
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report TR-48-92 be received;
2 . THAT KDM Electronics Inc. , Scarborough, Ontario, with a
total bid price of $10,452. 00 be awarded the contract
to supply and install a Public Address System at the
Newcastle Fitness Centre as required by the Department
of Community Services; and
3 . THAT the required funds be drawn from Account
#1110-00166-X Parkland Reserve, as approved and carried
over from the 1991 Capital Budget.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
Quotations were issued and invited from six (6) potential
suppliers for the supply and installation of a Public Address
System at the Newcastle Fitness Centre. Subsequently, bids were
received and tabulated as follows:

The required funds will be drawn from Account #1110-00166-X
Parkland Reserve, as approved and carried over from the 1991
Capital Budget and are within the $14,000 . 00 allocated.
The Treasurer has reviewed the funding requirements and concurs
with the recommendation. Queries with respect to department
needs, specifications, etc. , should be referred to the Director
of Community Services .
After further review and analysis of the quotes, it is
respectfully recommended that KDM Electronics Inc. , Scarborough,
Ontario, be awarded the contract to supply and install a Public
Address System at the Newcastle Fitness Centre.
The subject firm have previously performed satisfactorily for the
Town of Newcastle.
